VELVETEEN QUEEN
In just a few short years, Velveteen Queen have gone from promising newcomers to one of Sweden’s most exciting young rock bands — securing an international record deal, touring Europe and sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock.
Rooted in classic rock and drawing inspiration from bands such as Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses and The Black Crowes, Velveteen Queen combine the raw attitude, huge melodies and explosive energy of classic rock with the hunger and confidence of a new generation. Despite being only in their early twenties, the band have already earned a reputation for their commanding stage presence and high-energy live performances — whether playing to thousands at major festivals or tearing it up in packed rock clubs.
The journey truly began with their debut in 2022. The following year, the band released their self-produced maxi-single The Theatre Sessions on vinyl, receiving a warm response from the rock press. In 2024, they followed it with their critically acclaimed debut album, Consequence of the City, marking the beginning of the next chapter in their international career.
Shortly afterwards, Velveteen Queen signed an exclusive licensing agreement with King Records for Japan and parts of Asia, where Consequence of the City was released in January 2025. That same year, the band reached another major milestone by signing a worldwide record deal with Silver Lining Music.
Their rise on the live circuit has been equally impressive. Velveteen Queen have performed at some of Sweden’s most established rock festivals, including Sweden Rock Festival, Skogsröjet, Time To Rock Festival, Kristianstad Rockfest and Malmöfestivalen. They have shared stages with rock icons including Judas Priest, Alice Cooper and Megadeth, opened shows for Mammoth WVH, and completed their first European tour alongside Nestor, with dates across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
In June 2026, the band reached yet another milestone when they were selected to support Alice Cooper at Dalhalla, one of Sweden’s most spectacular and iconic concert venues. The performance further cemented Velveteen Queen’s growing reputation as one of the country’s most exciting young live acts.
Now, the band are ready for their biggest chapter yet.
On September 18, 2026, Velveteen Queen will release their new album, The Greater Good, worldwide on CD, vinyl and all major streaming platforms. Leading up to the album, the band have introduced their new material through the singles “The Greater Good,” “Adrenaline,” “Too Far Gone” and “Talk Or Walk.”
With an international team behind them, a rapidly growing reputation as a formidable live band, and a clear ambition to carry the spirit of classic rock into the future, Velveteen Queen are not interested in simply looking back at rock’s glory days.
They are a new generation of rock ’n’ roll — and they’re only just getting started.
The album release shows in Stockholm and Gothenburg will offer a unique opportunity to experience Velveteen Queen where they truly belong—on stage.
Featuring brand-new songs from The Greater Good, alongside fan favourites, these exclusive performances promise an unforgettable evening of raw energy, powerful musicianship, and the electrifying live show that has earned the band its growing reputation.
More than just album release concerts, these shows mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Velveteen Queen—a celebration of how far they've come and a glimpse of what's still to come.
